After many delays, D’Wayne Carter bka Lil Wayne, heads to Rikers to serve a year sentence for after admitting having a loaded 40-caliber semi-automatic gun on his tour bus back in 2007. According to reports, he could be released in about eight months with good behavior. His lawyer plans to ask for protective custody out of concern for Wayne’s safety and health following his dental surgeries. I am sure his children will miss their daddy but he will be out before you know it.

Singer D’Angelo Arrested for Solicititation!
Just when I said D’Angelo needed to come out with a new album, this happens:
Grammy Award-winning R&B singer D’Angelo was arrested early yesterday after allegedly offering an undercover policewoman $40 for oral sex while cruising alone through the West Village — with $12,000 stashed in his SUV.
D’Angelo, 36, whose real name is Michael Archer, was in his top-of-the-line Range Rover at Greenwich and Horatio streets at about 2:30 a.m. when he spotted a woman he took to be a prostitute, sources said.
He was arrested and charged with solicitation after asking the woman for sex, the sources said. His manager declined to comment. – NY POST
Tsk tsk! After he gets himself together, he still needs to release a new album and maybe he wont have to find ways to pay for it.

Lil Wayne Pleads Guilty
Lil Wayne plead guilty to attempted gun possession from NYC 2007 charge this morning and it’s predicted that he will spend up to a year in prison. Wayne had to take a plea deal or else his trial would have started in January 2010 and he could’ve faced 3+ years in jail if found guilty.
